The Exotronic 200W Fusion Ultra-Light Folding Solar Panel pairs advanced N-Type TOPCon solar cells with an ultra-lightweight folding design, giving you portable charging for caravans, camper trailers, 4WDs, boats and off-grid camps. The TOPCon cells are rated at 25.6% efficiency, which Exotronic states gives stronger low-light performance and lower long-term degradation than conventional P-type monocrystalline or PERC cells.
Instead of the tempered glass used on many folding panels, this model uses a durable ETFE laminated surface, cutting weight to just 5.9kg - around half the weight of a typical briefcase-style folding panel of similar output. An ultra-light reinforced backplate sits behind the cells to reduce flex during transport and setup, which Exotronic says helps guard against the micro-cracking that causes premature output loss in portable panels.
This panel is sold without a solar charge controller, so you will need a separately fused MPPT or PWM controller sized to the panel's output before connecting it to a battery.
