Australian Made Marine Battery with CANBus and Alarm Output

The Exotronic 12V 300Ah Axion Marine Series is an Australian made deep cycle LiFePO4 lithium battery for boats and marine electrical systems, also suited to caravan, RV and off-grid use. It is not designed for engine starting or cranking applications. The dedicated CANBus port connects to compatible Victron GX systems (Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX), and COMM1/COMM2 ports let multiple Axion batteries share information when installed together as a parallel bank of up to 16 batteries. Axion batteries may be connected in parallel only, not in series, and batteries in the same bank should be matching models. CANBus, COMM1, COMM2, the alarm output and Bluetooth connections are top mounted, with protective covers over unused ports.

Marine Alarm Output

A dedicated Alarm Output is designed to support marine installations requiring battery alarm functionality under AS/NZS 3004.2 when correctly installed as part of a compliant electrical system. It can be connected to a compatible external audible or visual alarm device, engaging at 10% state of charge and resetting once the battery is charged to 100%. The alarm output, alarm device, wiring and installation should be completed by a suitably qualified installer in accordance with applicable standards.

Safety and Battery Management

The battery uses A Grade aluminium-cased prismatic LiFePO4 cells fitted with a safety rupture disc, inside a heavy-duty case rated IP66 for water and dust resistance. The integrated JK Battery Management System includes a 2A microprocessor-controlled active balancer and protects against overcurrent, short circuit, over/under-voltage and extreme temperature, with real time Bluetooth monitoring of cell voltages, temperature, current and state of charge across five temperature sensors.
