Parallel Battery Networking for the Axion Lithium Range

The Exotronic 0.3m Axion RS485 Communications Cable links adjacent batteries in an Exotronic Axion lithium battery bank, allowing the battery management system to maintain accurate cell balancing, charge control and overall system monitoring across the bank without communication dropouts.

The cable uses conventional Cat5e wiring carrying the RS485 protocol, terminated in IP66-rated waterproof connectors that keep moisture, dust and other contaminants out of the communication ports - built for off-grid, marine and mobile environments where standard networking cables can degrade.

Port sequencing matters when wiring multiple Axion batteries in parallel: connect Battery 1's Comm 1 port to Battery 2's Comm 1 port, then Battery 2's Comm 2 port to Battery 3's Comm 2 port, continuing this alternating pattern along the bank. Connecting a Comm 1 port to a Comm 2 port on the next battery will cause a communication failure, so port numbers must always match between adjacent units.
