BMS-to-GX Integration for the Axion Lithium Battery Bank

The Exotronic 5m Axion to Victron CANbus Cable establishes communication between an Exotronic Axion lithium battery bank and a Victron Energy GX device, such as the Cerbo GX, bridging the battery management system with the wider power system for accurate charging control and system monitoring.

Once connected, the GX device can receive vital battery data from the Axion BMS - including individual cell voltages, current control limits and overall voltage control parameters - so the connected Victron equipment can charge the battery bank within its correct operational limits, improving system stability and battery longevity.

This is a purpose-wired cable, not a standard Ethernet lead. Exotronic notes that the Axion system uses a specialised pinout that cannot be substituted with an ordinary RJ45 lead: the cable is pre-wired to correctly map the CAN-High, CAN-Low and Ground connections between the two different systems. Only a single cable is required per Cerbo GX-to-Axion battery bank connection, rather than one cable per individual battery module.
