The Victron 12V 110Ah Gel Deep Cycle Battery is a sealed, maintenance-free VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) battery built on flat plate GEL technology. In a gel battery the electrolyte is immobilised as gel, and Victron notes that gel batteries in general have a longer service life and better cycle capacity than AGM batteries. Victron rates it for a float design life of 12 years at 20°C and up to 1800 cycles at 30% discharge, which suits off-grid solar storage, caravan and RV house banks, and marine systems.

Installation and Charging Recommendations

Use a charger with temperature-compensated voltage regulation. For cycle service Victron recommends an absorption voltage of 14.1V to 14.4V and a float voltage of 13.5V to 13.8V. Charge current should preferably not exceed 0.2C (22A for this 110Ah battery).
