The Victron 12V 240Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery (BAT412124081) is a large-capacity sealed VRLA battery for demanding off-grid, marine and mobile 12V systems. Absorbent Glass Mat construction holds the electrolyte in glass-fibre mats between the plates, giving the battery low internal resistance and strong high-current delivery for heavy inverter loads, winches and thrusters. Being VRLA, it is sealed and maintenance-free for life, with gas only escaping through the safety valves in the event of overcharge or cell failure.

High-purity lead-calcium grids give this battery a low self-discharge rate of under 2% per month at 20°C, so it can sit unused for extended periods without going flat - useful for seasonal caravans or standby power. It is designed to work with Victron's adaptive 4-stage charge algorithm (bulk, absorption, float and storage) for a full recharge without the overcharging that shortens battery life on a fixed 3-step curve.

Heavy-gauge cabling connects directly via M8 drilled, flat copper terminals, giving a larger contact area than conventional battery posts and a secure, vibration-resistant connection. The cell is housed in an ABS fireproof container and is compliant with both CE and UL specifications.
