Inverter/Charger, MPPT Solar Charge Controller and GX Monitoring in One Enclosure
The Victron EasySolar-II 48/4500/55-32 MPPT 250/70 GX combines a 48V MultiPlus-II inverter/charger, a SmartSolar MPPT 250/70 solar charge controller and a GX monitoring device in a single pre-wired enclosure. The MPPT's DC output is internally parallel-wired to the MultiPlus-II's battery connection, and the MultiPlus-II's on/off control also switches the MPPT, removing the external DC cabling and breakers a separate-component system would otherwise need.
The inverter section delivers 4kW continuous output at 25°C (3.7kW at 40/55°C, 3kW at 65°C) at 230VAC, with a peak rating of 7kW for one minute and up to 95% efficiency. A 32A transfer switch and matching 32A maximum AC input current work with PowerControl and PowerAssist to supplement a limited shore power or generator supply with battery power rather than tripping the incoming breaker. The integrated charger delivers up to 55A to the battery (50A at 40°C) across an absorption/float/storage charge profile (57.6V / 55.2V / 52.8V by default, adjustable), and can be configured for lithium, lead-acid and other battery chemistries.
The SmartSolar MPPT 250/70 stage accepts up to 4000W of PV at up to 250V open-circuit, delivering up to 70A of charge current at up to 99% efficiency. The built-in GX device provides a 2x16-character display plus BMS-Can, USB, Ethernet, VE.Direct and Wi-Fi connectivity, giving full local and remote (VRM) monitoring and control of the whole system from one point, without needing a separate Cerbo GX or Color Control unit.
