A 19-Inch Rack-Mount Power Centre for 650V to 1000V Battery Systems

The Victron Multi HS19 Solar 15k combines a 15kW three-phase inverter/charger with four independent 8kW MPPT solar trackers inside a single 4U, 19-inch rack-mount enclosure. It is built specifically for 650V to 1000V managed CAN-bus battery systems, letting installers run a high-voltage lithium bank through one compact chassis rather than separate inverter, charger and solar controller units, sliding into the same rack as the battery modules.

At its core is a bidirectional sinewave inverter/charger rated at 15kVA/15kW continuous output up to 40°C, with a 22kW peak available for 5 seconds. It delivers 400Vac 3-phase output (up to 22A RMS per phase) at up to 98% maximum efficiency, switching seamlessly between inverting, grid pass-through and charging. Charging from grid, generator or solar can reach a maximum charge power of 33kW at 800V, with a maximum charge current of 41A.

Four independent MPPT solar trackers, each rated at 8kW, give a combined PV capacity of 32kW at 600V. Each tracker has its own 100-600V MPPT range and 300V start-up voltage, so strings on different roof or array orientations can be tracked separately instead of being forced onto a single combined input.

Rack-Mount Installation and Monitoring

Housed in a standard 4U, 19-inch enclosure weighing 26.5kg, the Multi HS19 Solar 15k is designed to mount directly alongside compatible high-voltage battery modules for a tidy, service-friendly installation. Local setup and monitoring runs through Bluetooth and the VictronConnect app, while the VE.Can port connects to a GX device, such as a Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX, for remote monitoring and history via the VRM Portal. The programmable relay (3A, up to 30Vdc) and remote on/off terminal support automated actions such as starting a generator when the battery is low.
