The sensor probe is embedded in a robust M10 (3/8"-16) ring terminal that attaches directly to the positive battery terminal, ensuring accurate and responsive temperature readings.

Simple Installation

Installation is straightforward: attach the M10 ring terminal to the positive battery post, then connect the red and black wires to the designated terminals on your battery monitor. For the BMV-712 Smart and BMV-702, the black wire goes to the +B2 terminal and the red wire to +B1. For the SmartShunt, connect black to the Aux terminal and red to Vbatt+. Once connected, the monitor automatically detects the sensor and begins displaying temperature data.

Compatibility Note

This sensor is designed exclusively for the BMV-712 Smart, BMV-702, and SmartShunt. It is not compatible with other Victron products such as the BMV-700, BMV-710, or MultiPlus inverter/chargers, which use a different temperature sensor. Please verify your device model before ordering.
